While virtual currency was once only leveraged by complex and sophisticated criminals, it now features in every type of criminal threat, from elder fraud to gangs and extortion. Encountering virtual currency during an investigation is not a dead end; it provides an opportunity to glean valuable investigative information and seize valuable assets.
