Historically, the audio from the 911 call was only heard by the 911 call-taker. First responders typically learn about an incident via post-CAD entry data entered by a call-taker, and broadcast by a radio dispatcher. However, in the age of wireless networks, software solutions, and artificial intelligence, tech solutions that allow others to hear the 911 call in real time are transforming public safety operations. This capability, initially a niche idea, has now been validated by major industry competitors making products that stream 911 call audio directly to multiple stakeholders. such as field personnel, real-time crime centers, and Drone as First Responder programs.
