Michael W. Dailey, MD, FACEP FAEMS, is Professor of Emergency Medicine and EMS Fellowship Program Director at the Albany Medical College. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and EMS. He was one of the coauthors of the initial NYS basic life support and law enforcement naloxone educational programs, and has been an advisor to the law enforcement program through the Department of Health since its inception in 2013.
Dr. Dailey is the EMS Medical Director for the Hudson Mohawk Region--REMO, the six counties surrounding the State Capital, and is operational medical director for EMS agencies including the Town of Colonie, multiple fire departments including the cities of Albany, Schenectady and Watervliet, and law enforcement agencies including Bethlehem Police and Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department. He serves New York as a member of the State Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Committees and the Medical Standards Committee, as well as Medical Director for the Office of Fire Prevention and Control. He is the Division Physician for the New York State Police.
