Laura Cook is a Program Manager with the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) responsible for coordinating training and technical assistance projects in the areas of human trafficking, financial exploitation, and abuse of older adults. In this role, she primarily conducts research, consults with subject matter experts, assists with curriculum development, and presents training seminars. Laura has conducted many training seminars, conference workshops, and webinars on financial crimes, exploitation, and trauma-informed care. She currently oversees a project that trains law enforcement on victim-centered responses to transnational elder fraud. She also manages NW3C’s TraffickSTOP (Signs to Observe and Prevent), a project that teaches students about identifying and preventing human trafficking. In addition, Laura facilitates NW3C’s Targeting Investment Fraud course. Laura earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and her law degree from Temple University.
