David McBath is the Director of Risk Analysis and Special Projects in the Office of Crime Analysis & Strategic Partnerships at the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS). Under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner he is responsible for the long and short term strategy development and special project management of the network of 11 crime analysis centers across New York State. David has 40 years of law enforcement experience, retiring in 2015 as a Lieutenant Colonel with the NY State Police after almost thirty one years of service. Upon retirement he transitioned to become the inaugural Director of the new North Country Crime Analysis Center located along the northern international border with Canada. In January 2024, he transitioned to his current positon in the CAC network. He has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the State University of New York and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
