Leslie J. Sattler, Ph.D., LICSW is an Associate Professor at Bridgewater State University School of Social Work, earning an MSW from Boston University and a Ph.D., in Social Work at Simmons College. Leslie has over twenty years of clinical practice experience working with juvenile justice involved youth and fourteen years teaching at BSU. Her research interests include youth violence, pedagogical methods, and clinical interventions. She is currently working with the Plymouth County DA Office exploring the perceived effectiveness of the Comfort Dogs Program. When she is not working, you can find her outdoors with her rambunctious Labrador Retriever, hiking in the White Mountains, or enjoying the ski slopes.
