Dr. Denise Jablonski-Kaye is certified by ABPP in Police and Public Safety and Clinical Psychology. For nearly 20 years she worked in LAPD providing psychological services to recruits, officers, supervisors, and command staff. She has trained on resiliency, strengthening personal relationships, leadership, and preventing suicide. She expanded the LAPD Peer Support Program with specialized cadres for OIS, substance abuse, Vet2Vet, and grief. In 2017 she headed the LAPD Resiliency Task Force which hosted the inaugural “Heart of LAPD 5K Walk to Increase Awareness and Prevent Suicide”. She consults to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, ATF, NPS, Department of Commerce, OPP, KNP and PERF. In 2023 she joined the Psychological Screening Program (PSP) team at CalHR Medical and Psychological Screening Division. The PSP team conducts over 1000 pre-employment screenings a year on peace officer candidates for CHP, DOJ, Parks and Recreation, DMV, and Fish and Wildlife
