Lt. Mark Wynn (ret) Nashville Metropolitan Police “Mark is woven into the fabric of the battered women’s movement”, said Lynn Rosenthal, our country’s first White House adviser on violence against women. He is a national trainer to police executives, patrol officers, training officers, prosecutors, judges, legislators, social service providers, healthcare professionals and victim advocates in all fifty states for over thirty-five years. As a Fulbright Specialist for the US State Department, he has lectured in sixteen countries and is a survivor, enabling him to teach both effectively and passionately. In short, he is devoted to ending domestic/sexual, elder and child abuse as a police officer, detective, educator, program supervisor and now consultant and advisor. He has trained law enforcement leaders on the topic of domestic and sexual violence continually for IACP since 1987.
Served as Lieutenant to the Domestic Violence Division, a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team for fifteen years and is 1994 Graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy – Session 178.
