Jonathan Enriquez, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri in Kansas City where he serves as the Program Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Training Program. He is the Director of Cardiovascular Education at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City and has authored/co-authored over two dozen peer-reviewed publications of original research and book chapters in his specialty of cardiovascular disease and received awards for teaching, research, service, and leadership. He spends his clinical time caring for patients in the intensive care units (ICUs) and has an interest in LEO health and wellness.
Dr. Enriquez is a part-time police officer in the patrol division in Roeland Park, Kansas (within the Kansas City metro area). He also trains regularly with other law enforcement officers sharing a common interest as a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and in firearms training and competitions. Officer Enriquez engages with local charitable organizations and he received his departmental Chief’s Award for outstanding service and dedication to the Roeland Park Police Department and the community.
