Dr. Victoria McNeil-Young is a psychologist, scholar, and professor with a passion for empowering individuals and communities. In all her roles, both personal and professional, she operates with the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion, firmly believing that social justice and cultural understanding are integral components of her work. Dr. McNeil-Young is dedicated to enhancing the wellness of all people but has a specific focus on providing psychological services to Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) as well as to organizations serving these communities. Her research interests include exploring experiences of oppression and hate, as well as justice and liberation among BIPOC groups. Dr. McNeil-Young frequently offers consultations, and training sessions on these topics. Dr. McNeil-Young is an assistant professor of psychology at Jacksonville University and a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida (PY 11771). She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida. Additionally, she has served as a keynote speaker for institutions such as UNC Charlotte, Arizona State University, and Headspace Health.
