Michael "Kess" Kessler is an internationally recognized expert in Forensic Intelligence & Investigation with over 25 years of experience. He holds a BA in Criminal Justice and a Professional Science Master’s in Forensic Science. He has conducted forensic investigations worldwide, recognized as an expert in various courts, collaborating with agencies like the FBI, ATF, DEA, and international intelligence units. Michael led a multinational project to unify forensic investigation frameworks, resulting in a widely adopted handbook. He has developed and taught CSI courses globally and has been a certified Crime Scene Analyst since 2007. He has contributed significantly to forensic science standards as an original member and former chair of NIST's OSAC for Forensic Science CSI Subcommittee and is now a Member of the Forensic Science Standards Board and Chair of the Scene Examination Committee. He also chairs the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Standards Board’s CSI Consensus Body and is an adjunct faculty member at Florida International University, regularly lecturing at symposiums and scientific meetings, furthering his impact on the field.
