Kristin Chandler, J.D. is the Coordinator for Team Two, a statewide training Kristin developed for first responders on collaborative response to mental health crises. Kristin previously worked for eight years as an Assistant Attorney General for the Vermont Department of Mental Health. She is an adjunct professor at Norwich University in the Criminal Justice Studies department, teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Evidence. Kristin is a guest speaker at the Vermont Police Academy, where she instructs on mental health laws and response. She has also previously worked as the staff attorney for the Vermont Department of Public Safety. Kristin began her legal career as a deputy prosecutor for King County, Washington, where she worked for 10 years prior to moving to Vermont. Kristin is a Governor’s appointee on the Vermont Mental Health Crisis Response Commission, where she serves as vice-chair. She co-chairs the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) steering committee.
