Christopher Cook serves as the Chief of Police for the City of White Settlement, Texas, a suburb in Western Tarrant County and nestled in the 5th largest Metropolitan Area in the U.S. with almost 7 million residents. White Settlement is home to major defense industries, including Air Force Plant #4, operated by contractor Lockheed Martin, and the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base FTW. The fifth-generation strike fighter F-35 is being built in White Settlement, also home for the 301st Fighter Wing and 136th Airlift Wing commands. The department is accredited by the Law Enforcement Agency Best Practices Accreditation Program through the Texas Police Chief’s Association. Only 186 agencies out of 2,700 across the State of Texas have achieved this gold standard of recognition. The White Settlement Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency with 53 team members.
Chief Cook retired from the Arlington, TX Police Department as a Deputy Police Chief with 27 years of service. Cook has experience in public relations and traditional media management. He currently serves as President of the National Information Officers Association and on the IACP PIO Section.
