Shanetta Y. Cutlar is an attorney at the United States Department of Justice. She serves as Senior Counsel to the Director of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, known as the COPS Office. Her portfolio includes providing advice and counsel on over $600M of annual grant funding ($1.3B in active funding) to advance community policing and public safety. She has an extensive history of working with law enforcement and community engagements. She also oversaw pattern and practice investigations for several years in the Civil Rights Division, and subsequently served as the Public Safety Officer Benefits (PSOB) Counsel for the Department’s PSOB program.
Shanetta joined the Department of Justice through the Attorney General’s Honor Law Graduate Program and is a member of the Senior Executive Service.
