Steve Gregory is an award-winning national correspondent with iHeartMedia in Los Angeles, CA. He is also a subject matter expert in media relations and crisis communications.
In 2016, Steve became the first working journalist in California to earn certification as a POST instructor. In 2023, Steve earned level II instructor status. In 2020, Steve was the recipient of the California Commission on POST Individual Achievement Award for his contributions to law enforcement training.
Since 2007, Steve has been an adjunct instructor with the Los Angeles Police Department. He is also an adjunct instructor with the LA County Sheriff’s Department, the University of Southern California School of Public Policy, and the National Public Safety Innovation Academy.
He has been on the front lines of some of the biggest stories including riots in Ferguson, MO, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, wildfires on the island of Maui, a 7.0 magnitude Earthquake in Anchorage, and the ongoing events along the US/Mexico border, including coverage of a jailed US Marine in Tijuana. He also hosts a weekly show on unsolved crimes and a show featuring college journalists as guests.
