Sergeant II Robert Quiroz holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the California State University of Los Angeles. He joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1997 and worked various assignments and divisions as an officer. In 2006, he was selected to Metropolitan Division as an officer.
In 2016, he promoted to the rank sergeant and worked a variety of assignments. Sergeant Quiroz returned to Metropolitan Division in 2018 as the Assistant Officer in Charge of a line platoon.
Currently, Sergeant Quiroz has been responsible for the oversight, development, and implementation of critical training within his organization. He has led in-service training for a variety of critical concepts to include, crowd control strategies, less lethal deployment protocols, active shooter response tactics, and de-escalation techniques. He has been responsible for developing curriculum and implementing a variety of courses on various tactical concepts. He as trained thousands of police personnel throughout the country from the ranks of Police Officers to Command Staff. He is deemed a subject matter expert in Crowd Control for the Los Angeles Police Department.
