Gregg K. Schildberger serves as Fargo’s Chief Communications Officer where he delivers proactive service to City Commissioners, volunteer board members, fellow department heads and the media. His team energizes internal communications by developing comprehensive plans to deliver dynamic content to employees across 22 departments.
Schildberger was the architect of the unified and centralized communications team in North Dakota’s largest community. He has spearheaded Fargo’s communications related to civil unrest, officer-involved shootings, COVID-19 and the July 14, 2023 tragic ambush which resulted in police officers being critically-wounded and Officer Jake Wallin losing his life in the line of duty. Schildberger directly led and oversaw many aspects of the construction and fit-up of Fargo City Hall.
A North Dakota Scholar, Schildberger graduated summa cum laude from The University of North Dakota with degrees in public administration and political science. Schildberger has more than 20 years of professional experience. Marketing campaigns he has created/directed have won multiple national awards, including Addys, AdWheels, Savvys and Tellys.
