Chief Pistone has been a member of the Haverhill MA Police Department since 1999, serving since 2021 as both Chief of Police and Emergency Management Director.Chief Pistone earned his BS from St. Anselm College in 1992 followed by a MS in CJ Admin. from Western NE College in 2012. Chief Pistone is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Southern Police Institute Chief Exec Leadership, PERF SMIP, and Harvard Kennedy School Exec.Edu. Under Chief Pistone’s guidance,Haverhill Police earned MA Police Accreditation as well as CALEA Accreditation.Chief Pistone serves on the MA Chief of Police Executive Board and as VP of the NE Chapter of FBINAA. He was also appointed as MA Major City Chiefs Association’s representative for Governor Healey’s Community Policing and Behavioral Health Advisory Council.Chief Pistone is a recurring speaker on panels for both the DOJ and MA Exec. Office of Public Safety and Security. He offers expertise on best practices for Community Violence intervention, highlighting Haverhill Police Department’s continued successes both in building trust within the community, and key partnerships in local, state, and federal Emerging Adult programs.
