Deputy Inspector, Michael Gulinello began his career with the New York City Police Department in 2002. During his career, he has served within the NYPD’s Transit, Patrol, Community Affairs and Information Technology Bureaus. He has been a supervisory leader for over 15 years including 6 of those years within the executive ranks. He is currently the Commanding Officer of the NYPD's Strategic technology Division which is at the forefront of innovation, spearheading the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions, crafting a robust IT backbone and empowering platforms that propel the organization forward. Being the architects of the Domain Awareness System, connecting workforce mobile strategy, and the driving force behind intelligent surveillance systems like ARGUS Cameras, body-worn cameras and gun shot detetcion. He is the coordinator of the NYPD's IT infrastructre projects regarding the robust and expanding tactical and Drone as a First Responer UAS programs. He has overseen the creation, development, and testing of a myriad of systems and applications deployed throughout the Department enhancing public safety and operational efficiency.
