Matthew W. Fodor began his career with the FBI as a Special Agent in 2006. He was assigned to WFO where he investigated CT matters and participated in the Guantanamo Bay Prosecution Task Force to develop criminal cases against those responsible for the 9/11 attacks. In 2010, he transferred to Oklahoma City where he conducted DT/IT investigations. In 2012, Mr. Fodor was promoted to SSA in CTD, where he managed the programs for IT investigations across seven Field Offices. In 2014, he served as the SSA of the Phoenix JTTF over all IT investigations. In 2018, hMr. Fodor returned to CTD as an Assistant Section Chief and provided oversight on extraterritorial investigations. In 2019, Mr. Fodor was promoted to ASAC of the CT Program, and later, all Resident Agency Offices in the Miami Division. In 2021, he served as the Section Chief of the CT HUMINT Section, where he oversaw all the CTD's HUMINT and undercover programs. In 2023, he was named the Deputy Assistant Director of Branch II in CTD.Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Fodor served as a Denver Police Officer and a financial crimes investigator. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
