Dan Palewicz has over 23 years of experience with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), concentrated on complex international drug trafficking organizations, and counter narco-terrorism investigations.
In 2000, he began his career at the DEA Washington Field Division working in the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) task force intelligence group.
His other assignments have included the Dubai County Office, the Special Operations Division, DEA Headquarters, and the Office of Special Intelligence. He has extensive experience in international drug trafficking organization investigations as well as Title III investigations.
Unit Chief Palewicz has been involved with the Deconfliction Information Coordination Endeavor (DICE) and the DEA Analysis & Response Tracking System (DARTS) programs since their creation, and serves as the subject matter expert on these programs.
He has worked to promote the equitable sharing of investigative information and to enhance officer safety amongst all federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. He earned a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies, combining criminal justice and computer science from Towson University.
