Amy Bonney is proud to serve as the Chief of Police at the Prescott Police Department in Prescott, Arizona. Amy holds a BS from Northern Arizona University and an MPA from the University of Phoenix. Amy graduated with the 257th session of the FBI National Academy.
She has served with the Prescott PD for over 26 years. Chief Bonney was awarded Sworn Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Community Service award, Commendations and the Medal of Valor.
Amy is an accredited Chief Executive Officer through the Arizona Association of Chief’s of Police and was honored as Arizona’s Police Chief of the Year for 2023.
Amy is active in many civic organizations within her community. Amy is the Director of the FBINAA Arizona Leadership Education and Development Program. Amy is a member of the Board of Directors for the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, and serves as a Board member for the Arizona Fallen Officers Memorial. Amy serves as an adjunct faculty member at Yavapai College and enjoys training and mentoring others. Amy is most proud of being a mom to her daughter Reagan and serving the men and women of the Prescott Police Department.
