Amber Webb was born in San Diego, CA, and spent her early years traveling the world as a military brat. After graduating high school, she earned her Associate, Bachelor, and Master of Science Degrees in Criminal Justice.
Amber began her career iwith the Memphis Police Department (MPD) in 2003. In 2023, she was promoted to the rank of Major. In her current role as the Commander of the Sex Crimes Bureau, she oversees the daily operations of the DNA (Cold Case) Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Sex Offender Registry, the Adult Sex Crimes Unit, and the Child Sex Crimes/ Juvenile Abuse Unit.
She held pivotal roles in Homicide, Internal Affairs Bureaus, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and the Tarnished Badge Task Force. Amber is also a Reserve Special Agent in the Coast Guard Investigative Service, where her responsibilities range from death investigations to worldwide protective service details.
Amber is a proud graduate of the FBI National Academy, session #286, and a published author. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, and showcasing her 1968 Mustang at car shows.
