Dr. Stacey Waring is a licensed forensic and police psychologist in Southern California. She has a forensic practice conducting various forensic psychological evaluations and has testified in court on several occasions. She is also the Chief Psychologist in the Psychological Screening Program (PSP) at the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), which is responsible for conducting preemployment psychological suitability evaluations for California State peace officers and public safety candidates for various department. She provides clinical and administrative oversight of the PSP, as well as testimony at State Personnel Board appeals hearings when candidates appeal their suitability determination. She was previously a staff psychologist in PSP and a contractor with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. In these roles, she conducted close to 1,500 preemployment psychological suitability evaluations. Dr. Waring’s professional interests include obtaining and analyzing post-evaluation outcome data from the hiring departments to assess for areas to revise or improve the preemployment psychological assessments.
