Maddy Madrazo, in her role as Constitutional Policing Advisor, guides the Dallas Police Department’s efforts to establish the premier framework for self-assessment and self-correction within a law enforcement agency. Maddy developed and implements the Unit’s strategic communications plan; oversees the planning and execution of its reviews; and presents to the Department’s senior leadership analyses of the Unit’s findings and recommendations for improvement. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University, Maddy began her career as a consultant, delivering public relations and crisis communications services to public sector leaders and C-suite professionals in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. In 2021, her tenure with the City of Dallas began as a Policy Advisor and Council Liaison before she advanced in 2023 to the role of Deputy Chief of Staff for External Affairs in the Office of Mayor Eric L. Johnson. In addition, Maddy has authored more than 20 feature articles published in a suite of regional magazines with a combined audience exceeding one million commercial construction professionals.
