    Captain James Curry, with 14 years of dedicated service in the Fairfax County (Va.) Police Department (FCPD), previously served as Commander of the Public Affairs Bureau. Rising through the ranks from Sergeant to Captain within the bureau, his dynamic leadership and unwavering drive ensured the strategic communication efforts of Virginia's largest police department. He has facilitated FCPD’s messaging of countless critical incidents and investigations. Since May of 2024, he has transferred to his new assignment as the Assistant Commander at FCPD’s Mason District Station.
