Charles King is the Storyteller in Strategic Communications at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. With a background in journalism and media, Charles spent 15 years at the Orlando Sentinel newspaper, where he took on various roles.
Before joining the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in April 2023, Charles served as the Director of Photography, managing the photo and video team. Prior to that, he created visual media content as a photographer and video editor. His career at the Orlando Sentinel also includes experience in the sports department, where he worked as a reporter and TV show host and producer.
At the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Charles is responsible for shooting and editing videos for a variety of purposes, managing livestreams, photographing events, and hosting the podcast "Behind the Star." His experience in visual storytelling supports the Sheriff’s Office in engaging with the community through media.
