Matt Myers is the Assistant Police Chief for the Peachtree City (GA) Police Department and founder of DrugImpairment.com, an e-learning platform that connects law enforcement professionals with industry-leading instruction on drug impairment. In addition to 20+ years in law enforcement and service as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Instructor, Matt has completed a master's degree in clinical toxicology and extensive additional education in pharmacology and toxicology at various academic and forensic science institutions, including the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Center for Forensic Science Research & Education, and the Harvard Medical School Extension.
Matt serves as a member of IACP's Roadway Safety Committee and chairs the Scientific Working Group of the DRE Technical Advisory Panel. He is a past Chair of IACP's DRE Section, a member of the NSC Alcohol, Drugs and Impairment Division and a member of the ASB Forensic Toxicology Standards Board. He is a faculty member of the Borkenstein Drug course and has lectured widely on drug effects to international audiences, including toxicologists, judiciary, attorneys, and law enforcement officers.
