Amanda Finn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the Crisis Co-Response Unit with the Chattanooga Police Department. The unit responds to calls for service involving individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. This year marks her 10th working in the mental health field. Her experience has primarily been with individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illnesses including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, suicidal ideations, anxiety and panic disorders, and individuals in crisis. She has worked in a variety of mental health settings including administrative, outpatient, residential, inpatient, crisis walk-in-centers, and co-response programs. She holds certifications in Critical Incident Debriefing, Disaster Response, Crisis Intervention Training, and is a Mandatory Pre-Screening Agent. Her passions lie in first responder wellness and advocating for and providing trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing crises.
