Co-Founder & Director/Coordinator of the Commonwealth 911 Peer Support Team and Member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Peer Support Network, Anthony was a 911 Dispatcher for the Boston Police Department for two decades.
The Commonwealth 911 Peer Support Team is a 24/7, 365 operation with over three dozen members trained Critical Incident Responders and clincians who specialize in First Responder Trauma. With representation in 7 different languages, LGBTQA+, survivors of Domestic Violence, Cancer, and disabilities, the team has been an offcially recognized member of the Massachusetts Peer Support Network in 2018.
Anthony co-created and continues to teach "An Introduction to Crisis Intervention and Peer Support for the 911 Dispatcher" at the Massachusetts State 911 Academy as well as other agencies across the Commonwealth, and currently serves as Poltiical Director for SEIU Local 888, which represnts 911 Emergency Telecommunicators in Boston, State Police, State 911, Somerville & other agencies.
He also helped change 911 job classification from "clerical" worker to "First Responders" in Boston in 2023.
