    Ryan Miller began his career in law enforcement in 1999 with the Overland Park, KS Police Dept. Entering the profession right out of college, he has served with the OPPD for 25 years. He currently serves as one of the division commanders in the Operations Bureau as a Major. During his career, he has held assignments in Operations, Emergency Services (Spec Ops), the Office of Professional Standards, and the Support Services Division.

    Major Miller holds a Bachelor's degree in Crime and Delinquency from Kansas University and a Master's of Public Safety degree from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy #280. He has been a member of the IACP Police Administration Committee since 2017 and a co-chair of the PAC for the last two years.
