This session will provide an overview of the New York State Crime Analysis Center Network and describe how 11 regional crime analysis centers created across New York have partnered with federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement and criminal justice agencies and the New York State Intelligence Center to provide real-time analysis of comprehensive crime data, sharing of information technology tools and systems, and crime analysis expertise to assist in criminal investigations to identify patterns and trends and assist in reducing crime. The session will also discuss the new statewide crime gun intelligence (CGI) program this network supports using regionally deployed NIBIN equipment at each center to improve local acquisition and correlation of crime gun data in near real time.
