Training at a High Level: Why Green Labs Should Be Incorporated into Entry-Level Impaired Driving Enforcement Training

With more and more states legalizing cannabis on a medicinal and recreational level, it is imperative that agencies best prepare their officers for anticipated consequences that are proving to occur. Drug-impaired driving is perhaps one of the more severe consequences that localities are experiencing. As drugged driving cannabis research is limited, officers are struggling to best detect and identify cannabis-caused impairment roadside. This session will focus on a new law enforcement training venue known as Green Labs. These unique training venues are providing law enforcement with confidence and accuracy in arrest decisions. This session will cover how any size agency can host these venues and why this hands-on training to recognize cannabis impairment is essential to road officers.
