Violent crime is a challenge in many rural communities. As a result of scarce resources, law enforcement agencies may encounter challenges addressing violent crime. What partnerships and resources are most appropriate to address violent crime? How can a small investment result in big returns for your community? Hear from two agencies and their community partners about efforts to address rural violent crime challenges by using innovative strategies supported by the development of cross-sector partnerships. Leaders from the Frederick, Colorado, Police Department and the Vernon County, Wisconsin, Sheriff’s Office will share their efforts and results to drastically increase domestic violence assessments and crime victim service capacity.
