    This workshop showcases the cross-discipline work done in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to adopt the NFPA 3000: Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER) Program and its statewide rollout. The NFPA 3000 is the internationally recognized hostile event planning, response, and recovery framework. It establishes a model for cross-discipline response between law enforcement, fire, EMS, communications, and emergency management. Also presented will be the content from the new Active Attack Incident Management course developed with the ALERRT Center at Texas State University. This new, innovative course for upper-level leadership adopts an approach that empowers the first responding officer to take command promptly and work to expand the Incident Command structure through different phases of operations.
