Jason Webber, Deputy Chief at Clarksburg Police Department and NW3C training instructor, has been a member of the Clarksburg Police Department for the past 24 years. In that capacity, he has devoted 19 years to the investigations of financial and computer-related crimes. He has an extensive background in white collar financial and cyber-related crimes where his investigations have led to both Federal and State prosecutions. Webber serves on the Federal Bureau of Investigations JTTF and is an Internet Crimes Against Children agency representative. Deputy Chief Webber has obtained the following certifications: FBI Instructor Development, Certified Economic Crime Forensic Examiner, and Certified Historical Cell Site Analyzer. Deputy Chief Webber has assisted NW3C curriculum developers as a subject matter expert in the fields of Intellectual Property Theft investigations and Transnational Elder Fraud. In May 2019 Webber was the recipient of the U.S. Attorney’s award relating to a skimmer case where FBI TFO Webber disrupted a high-tech multi-state skimmer group that victimized thousands of people and had an intended loss exceeding a million dollars.
