Tony was appointed Chief Privacy Officer at Corsight in January 2021. He is responsible for developing software in line with emerging global regulation and law, supporting clients in their lawful and ethical use of the software and developing and influencing public opinion on its use.
Tony has co-authored the British Standards Institute (BSI) Standard on Ethical Use of Facial Recognition, sits on the BSI Committee advising International Standards Organisation on AI and is currently working with UK Biometric and Forensic Ethics Group which provides oversight to UK Govt. on use of Biometric Technology
Tony was appointed Surveillance Camera Commissioner (UK) in 2014 by the Home Secretary, reporting to Parliament over 7 years. He developed the National Surveillance Camera Strategy, introduced a suite of certification processes and wrote police guidance on lawful and ethical use of facial recognition systems. In January 2022 Tony was honoured by Her Majesty the Queen receiving the OBE for services to Human Rights
Tony was a senior police leader (Counter Terrorism) . As Commander he led London Olympic Games 2012 investigations across UK receiving QPM from HM the Queen
