Chief Thomas Dellane retired from the Stafford Township Police Department on March 1, 2024. Chief Dellane began his employment in August 1987and served as Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator from June 2016 until his retirement.
Chief Dellane received his BA Degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University and his Juris Doctor Law Degree from Rutgers University School of Law and has been a member of the Bar since 1999.
Chief Dellane served as the Chair for the Middle Atlantic Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network (Magloclen) until his retirement.
Chief Dellane served as the President for the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police in 2022 and was instrumental in providing guidance to member chiefs when New Jersey legalized recreational cannabis.
Chief Dellane has served as a member of the IACP’s Policy Center Advisory Group since 1996 and is a graduate of the 261st Session of the FBI National Academy.
Chief Dellane was appointed by Chief Justice Rabner of the New Jersey Supreme Court to the Joint Committee on Criminal Justice Reform 2023 to make recommendations to improve Criminal Justice Reform in New Jersey
