Director
Louisville (KY) Metro Police Department
Rebecca Grignon-Reker serves as the Executive Director of the Louisville Metro Police Foundation, where she leads initiatives to support the well-being of LMPD officers and their families. Her dedication to law enforcement stems from personal experience—six weeks after the line-of-duty death of her first husband, Officer Peter Grignon, in 2005, Rebecca began her advocacy for first responders by volunteering with an organization that provided support to families of fallen police, fire, and EMS personnel.
Rebecca joined the Foundation in 2017 as Director of Community Engagement and was promoted to Executive Director in 2022. Under her leadership, the Foundation successfully raised over $1.5 million in under a year, funding the creation of a Wellness Center for LMPD officers.
In addition to her professional achievements, Rebecca is deeply committed to her family and community. She and her husband, John, whom she married in 2013, are raising three children together. Guided by her faith, Rebecca remains a passionate advocate for law enforcement, ensuring officers are supported, recognized, and connected to the community they serve.
