This session is designed to equip law enforcement professionals with the necessary tools to implement victim services tailored to their department's size by exploring various models. It will also address how victim services can support law enforcement, building community trust and legitimacy. Attendees will also learn how addressing the needs of crime victims can result in victims remaining actively engaged in the criminal justice process through prosecution. Organizations that prioritize addressing the needs of crime victims are likely to build greater community confidence, increase crime reporting, reduce crime, and contribute positively to the recovery and healing of victims of crime.
