David Hernandez is a Boston Police Sergeant and Co-Founder/ Chair of the Latino Law Enforcement Group of Boston (LLEGO Boston). David has served in the Boston Police Department for 10 years. He has been assigned to several areas of the city. This has given him the opportunity to understand the needs not just of the community but of the officers that work in these areas. Additionally, he was part of the Dignitary Protection Unit where he assisted in protecting Dignitaries inside the city of Boston. In this role he was also a liaison to visiting dignitaries/law enforcement agencies both local and federal. He is currently assigned as a Sergeant to District 1 (the downtown area of Boston).
As a co-founder of LLEGO Boston he has helped develop programming, assisted in developing the operations of the organization, and has supported LLEGO members developing and executing new programs / community events.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Bridgewater State University. He is currently in the process of attaining his MBA from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business
