David “Ship” Shipley, is a 45-year Colorado deputy sheriff who retired at the rank of Commander in 2015. "Ship" now serves as the Executive Director of the Colorado Information Sharing Consortium. He is an enthusiastic member of the IACP CJIS Committee where he co-chairs the 2021 Technology Resource Guide Working Group and also serves as a vice chair for the 2023 IACP LEIT CJIS Policy Modernization Working Group. He is the grateful recipient of the 2024 IACP LEIT Section Harlin McEwen award for Innovation in Law Enforcement Communications and Introperability Technology. Ship is husband to Jayme, his loving and patient wife of 42 years, dad to 3 adult, accomplished, married children, and is also "PoPo" to 9 fabulous grandchildren. Ship is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Session 202) and Barclay College (BS in Psychology/Christian Ministry (SCL)).
